The Bailout is equipped with an impressive tanto blade made from CPM-S90V steel. The blade offers two functional cutting edges: the longer section is ideal for everyday cutting tasks, while the strong tip is perfect for precision work. CPM-S90V is a high-end steel introduced in 1996 by steel manufacturer Crucible (originally under the name CPM-420V). Instead of relying on high chromium content, S90V uses an increased amount of vanadium, resulting in exceptional wear resistance and outstanding edge retention without compromising corrosion resistance. The blade features a durable PVD coating (Physical Vapor Deposition), which protects the steel from wear and corrosion while also being scratch-resistant.
