Benchmade Lowden Phoenix Red

The Benchmade Lowden Phoenix Red is a modern pocket knife that combines craftsmanship and functionality in a compact design. Its clean lines and symmetrical shape are inspired by the classic dagger, while the execution is entirely contemporary.

The spear point blade offers a sharp and precise tip, ideal for piercing or creating small openings without compromising cutting performance. The blade is made from M390 steel, a steel type developed by Böhler in the 1980s as an improved version of K190. Originally designed for applications such as milling, drilling, and dies, M390 is known for its exceptional wear resistance and surprisingly high corrosion resistance. These properties make it one of the most sought-after steels for knives. The blade is further finished with a Cerakote coating, which not only enhances its appearance but also improves wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and chemical resistance.

The Lowden combines a flipper with Benchmade’s renowned AXIS® Lock. This allows for fast and effortless opening, while the locking mechanism keeps the blade securely in place. This combination ensures smooth operation and makes the knife equally suitable for both right- and left-handed users.

The handle is made from anodized 6061-T6 aluminum. This material gives the knife its distinctive red color while providing excellent structural strength at minimal weight. The result is a sturdy, ergonomic design that feels comfortable in hand without feeling heavy.
